Books to Read Aloud to Young Children

I have just started reading some slightly more complex books to my children. Having just finished The Magic Fingerby Roald Dahl, I was wondering what to move onto next. Luckily for me, I have just found a post by Bronwyn’s Resources for Families with a great suggestion list (some of which you will recognise and some of which you won’t):

1. Henry and Mudge and the Wild Wind (Ready-To-Read)

2. Arthur and the 1,001 Dads (Marc Brown Arthur Chapter Books (Paperback))

3. Ramona the Pest

4. The House at Pooh Corner (Winnie the Pooh)

5. Dingoes at Dinnertime (Magic Treehouse)

6. The Dragons of Blueland (My Father\’s Dragon Trilogy (Paperback))

7. Jenny and the Cat Club: A Collection of Favourite Stories About Jenny Linksy (New York Review Children\’s Collection)

8. Yikes! Bikes!: 7 (Ready, Freddy! (Paperback))

9. Flatfoot Fox and the Case of the Missing Whoooo

10. Mercy Watson to the Rescue (Mercy Watson)

11. Jigsaw Jones #09: The Case of the Stinky Science Project (Jigsaw Jones Mysteries (Paperback))

12.Clever Lollipop
