Little Legends is a community tool for parents, carers and people with children. Our aim is to help you find places for kids in the UK, and discover what other parents are saying about them.

This site will look much better in a browser that supports web standards, but it is accessible to any browser or Internet device.

    2) Your opinions must appear in the comments section of the place listing, rather than the notes section.

The Southbank, Summer Safety Tips and Funny T-shirt

Emma Mahony, writes at the Times Alpha Mummy blog about how the Southbank has gone kidtastic. So, if you are in London this summer, that is the place to hang out with the kids.

Over at the Family Relationships blog you can find out the five essential summer safety tips that every parent should know.

Finally, manicmama (aka me!) found a t-shirt with the wartime slogan “Keep calm and carry on” that could also be a popular mantra for parents.

    Sharing the Love

To my surprise, this blog has turned out to be extremely popular :) So, I have decided it is time to share a bit of that love around by creating a new category called UK Parent Bloggers. Posts in this category will have links to the most useful, interesting and entertaining posts by bloggers in the UK on anything to do with parenthood.

If you want to let me know about your blog, then just join the UK Parent Bloggers Group

    Press Update

The article that I posted before is now online here. Have a look if you want to see a hideous photo of me (and two of my gorgeous boys) ;)

    New Feature - Groups

    llgroups

Everything has not been as quiet here as it might have appeared. Piers has been busy working away on Groups and they are now ready to go. So, you can either join one of the existing groups which are:

    Home - Feedback
LL - Discuss your ideas for the site, complaints etc
Looking for Recommendations- If you can’t find what you need, post a question here
New Faces - Why not introduce yourself or ask for help getting started
Nappy Valley Natter - A local group for Mums who live in Wandsworth

Or why not start your own?

    June Focus: Edinburgh

This is a new idea. Each month I will focus on a different town, city or borough in the UK. I will research the childfriendly venues in the chosen place and add them to Little Legends.

I will not be able to add everything, so please feel free to join in:
    * if you recognise a place you know then perhaps you could share your experience by adding a comment; or
    * you could add one of your favourite places; or
    * you could let me know your favourite places and I will add them for you.

    Online help for stressed-out mums

The following article about Little Legends appeared in the Wandsworth Borough news today:

A Wandsworth mother sick of struggling to find child-friendly locatins has set up a networking website for parents faced with a similar predicament.

Mum of three, Vicky Wood, 33, moved house two years ago and was frustrated by the difficulty of locating the best places in the borough for parents with kids in tow.

With the help of her brother, technical whizz Piers Young, she took the matter into her own hands and set up an online network for parents.
